I am grateful for my late wife Lorraine. Without her, I would not have come to Joy MCC and grown the extended family of choice that I have today. She taught me much about a loving heart and in her passing almost four years ago, taught me so much more.

I learned the difference between religion and spirituality and that they can co-exist.

I learned that angels DO walk among us.

I learned that when you fall and are hurting, God will always carry you until you can walk again.

I learned that one loved is always loved and moving on to love another is possible but in no way diminishes the first.

I learned that when the time is right, God will send the perfect person to you. You simply need to be open to seeing them–they may not be what you expected or thought you wanted.

I learned that a life well-lived will lead the way to opening minds and hearts.

I learned that each day is another chance for joy and happiness. And just like a diet, the next moment is always there for a new beginning if you want it.

And today, I am especially grateful for my wife Bev, who God placed in my life because she is indeed the perfect person at the perfect time and together we will walk the path on which God guides us.
